Pontiac Weekly Gazette, May 15, 1874
"We have to announce this week the death of Peter Case, Jr. a man well known in 

Oakland Co., which occurred at Auburn last Thursday.  For nearly fifteen years 

he has been a terrible sufferer of rheumatism, and was perfectly helpless.  The 

cords of his legs being contracted, his body was nearly doubled and had to be 

drawn about in a freight wagon.  He was nearly 50 years old and leaves a wife 

and children".  

Additional Comments:
I would love to know more about the wife and children.  They left no paper 

trail.
