She was born June 7, 1849 in the township of Independence, Oakland county, Michigan. She married William Chamberlain Oct. 22, 1879. This union was blessed with three children, one daughter and two sons. She has spent her entire life with the exception of four years spent in Missouri, in this county, where she has made many friends who will greatly miss her. She was a member of the M.E. church and of Rebecca hive of L.A.T.M. of this village. She leaves a husband, one daughter, two sons, an aged mother, five sisters and four brothers, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother, a good friend and kind neighbor. She has gone home to meet him who said "Come unto me all ye that are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest."
