He has not been in ill health and death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Van Wagoner, was born Mar. 20, 1868 in Oakland County near Oxford and was married Dec 3, 1890 at Corunna. Mr. and Mrs. Van Wagoner came to the Alpena area in 1899 and settled in their present home in 1902. They have resided there since that time. Mr. Van Wagoner was a pioneer in berry growing in this district. Survivors include his wife, a son Carl Wilson; 2 grandsons, Esley of Wilson, and Ralph of Alpena; one great grandson; one brother, Otto, Alpena. The body is at the Wachterhauser funeral home where it will remain until 3 p.m., Thursday when it will be taken to the family home. Funeral service will be held there Friday at 1:30 and at 2 at the Wilson Free Methodist church, the Rev. Verian Traver officiating. Internment in King settlement Cemetery.
