Dear was a brakeman on the construction train which runs between here and goodrichville, and was climbing down a side ladder to open a switch, when he was caught between the car and the trolley pole, which, it is claimed, only cleared the track by six inches. He was driven through this small space. His collar bone, ? of his ribs on his left side, his hip bone and his arm were broken. One piece of bone was driven into his lungs. He was brought here by a special car and taken to his home, where four doctors are working over him, with no hopes of his recovery. Dear is unmarried and one of the finest young men in Oxford. It is stated that relatives will sue the company for damages.
