Hubble, aged 25 years, 5 months. Fannie Banta, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Banta, of Oakwood, was born Sept 4, 1879. She finished the work of the district school, being an exceedingly bright young girl, and was enrolled in the Oxford High School, lacking but three months of graduating when she left school to be married to W.P. Hubble, Feb 21, 1900. In 1901 she united with the Oxford Baptist Church, in which religious organization she has been a persistent member and a faithful worker. Death of deceased was due to peritonitis following child birth. She leaves a husband a a 4 year old daughter, Mabel, father, mother, several brothers and sisters to mourn her departure to the life beyond. The funeral held Tuesday, was attended by a large number of friends, neighbors and relatives, who braved the blizzard to pay last tribute to the beloved qualities of a good woman a faithful Christian and kind wife and mother. Rev. Cutler preached the funeral sermon. Whitcom and Sons, of this place, had charge of the remains which were interred in the Oxford Cemetery.
