Dr. N. I. Baker was telephoned for as was also Justice Wm. E. Dickie and the former pronouced the death due to apolplexy. Mr. Teeples had been working for Mr. Gruber on the farm during the last two seasons. On Wedenesday morning they went out to work in the cornfield, Gruber driving the corn harvester and Teeples setting the bundles. The machine was running low on twine and Gruber sent Teeples to the barn to get more. He had secured the twine and was part way back to the field when the stroke overtook him. When Teeples did not return with the twine Gruber started to the house to get some himself and found Teeples lying in the lane. Life was already extinct. The funeral service has been arranged for the Sabbath at 2 o'clock at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Stowe [Lottie Teeples Powelson] on the New Hudson road. Rev. J.I. Nickerson will be in charge. Mr. Teeples was born in 1847 in White Lake township and has been a lifelong resident of this vincinity. He is survived by seven children, Mrs. Stowe of New Hudson, Mrs. Goldie Richardson, Albert and Orpha Teeples of Commerce, Wm.
