Very early in life he came with his parents to Michigan who settled on the farm four miles west of Oxford which please has ever been his home. He was married to Mrs. Charlotte Stocum, who preceded him in death 13 years ago. he leaves to mourn his loss, one brother Lette, of Oxford, and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Houle of Goodrich, two step sons, Samuel Stocum of Oxford and Ervin of Pontiac, nine grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. The funeral occurred Friday afternoon Aug. 13th at the Baptist Church, Rev. T.D. Denmore preached the sermon. Burial in the Oxford Cemetery.
