Van Wagoner, stone mason, and a life long resident of this community, after two weeks illness with bronchial pneumonia. Walter G. Van Wagoner, the son of Jedediah Van Wagoner and Lucina Graham, was born Dec. 9, 1852 in Oxford Township. Jan. 17 1888 he was married to Sarah Snyder and moved to the farm in Addison township where he lived up to seven years ago when he moved to this village. To the first union was born one daughter, Mrs. Mark Chamberlain, who resides on the old farm. His first wife having died, he later was married to Luella Travis, June 30, 1892. Besides the widow and daughter, Sarah, one sister survives, Mrs. Thomas Stitt, of Deford. The funeral was held Saturday at 2 P.M. from his late home in this village, Rev. Hicks of the Methodist church officiating. The remains were laid to rest in Oxford Cemetery. (Oxford Leader Apr. 3, 1914.)
