Glaspies store. (Oxford Leader, 11, Oct 1901) LIFELONG OXFORD RESIDENT PASSES AWAY, TUESDAY Clark Van Wagoner, a lifelong resident of Oxford, passed away Tuesday morning at the Pontiac City Hospital where he had been ill for nearly four weeks. Mr. Van Wagoner had been a long sufferer from anemia and had been cared for during his last illness by his niece, Mrs. Lorene Ransom, of 37 Stowell Street, Pontiac. He was born March 10, 1852, and was the last surviving member of a family of five children of Alonzo Van Wagoner, who was a pioneer resident of Oxford. He is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Joe Spears, of Orion, Mrs. J.A. Scott, of West Branch, and Mrs. Lorene Ransom of Pontiac. The body was removed to the Voorhees Funeral Home, where funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. C.E. Scott of Oxford Baptist church officiating and burial made in the Oxford cemetery.
