Van Wagoner Charles H. Van Wagoner died at his home, 130 Pine Street, Sunday evening after an illness of two weeks, pneumonia being the cause of death. He was born in Oxford August 15, 1855, and came to Lapeer when a young man. He married Ida R. Evans Nov. 20, 1878 and they lived in Lapeer for a number of years. He is survived by his wife and five children; Daniel R., of Jackson, Charles H. Jr., of Detroit, Mrs. O.L. Gillespie of Pleasant Ridge, Mrs. Janet Tower and Mrs. Mary Dyer of Lapeer; three grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Eugene Day of Flint and Mrs. Frank P. Day of Closter, New Jersey and a brother Otto Van Wagoner, of Los Angeles, Calif. Funeral services were held this (Wednesday ) morning at the residence, Rev. Peter Mci. (sic) Clasper officiating. Burial was at Mt. Hope.
