Venerable Woman dies at Daughter's Home
Oxford, Dec 20, 1932
Following an illness of about six months, Mrs. Martha Van Wagoner, 70, died
early today in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice Brooks, northeast of the
village.  Mrs. Van Wagoner was a former resident of Metamora, but has lived in
her daughter's home since she became ill.  She was born Aug. 31, 1862 and was
married to Philip Van Wagoner at Lapeer.  She has been a member of the Free
Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, her daughter, a son, Albert, of Pontiac and a
brother, Albert Hodge of Metamora. 
Funeral will be held Thursday at the home of Mrs. Brooks. with Rev. S.J. 
McCarthy in charge and burial in the Van Wagoner Cemetery. (
