John is buried with his wife Christie Anna Knechtges in the Holy Sepulchre 
Cemetery, located at 25800 W. 10 Mile Road, Southfield, Michigan. They  are 
buried in Section 27, lot 195, graves 11 and 12. Their daughter, Bernadette 
Knechtges, their son, John Paul Knechtges, and John Paul's wife Lorraine, are 
buried nearby in Section 20. His headstone reads:

JOHN KNECHTGES
     1878 - 1935
