Lewis Oct. 22,1881 Aug. 26, 1951 Mary Anne Lewis (Mohr) was born in Galena Illinois, the fourth of eight children born to John and Catherine (Lemper) Mohr. Both John and Catherine were born in Germany. In Galena, John was a well known Cooper. Mary Anne (Mayme) had six sister's and one brother. About 1900 she and two of her sister's, Marie Antoinette (Nettie) and Mary Katherine (Kate), became Harvey Girls and worked for Fred Harvey on the trains traveling West. While out West Mary Anne (Mayme) married Clyde T. Lewis, an Arizona rancher from St. Johns Michigan. Prior to 1912 they returned to Michigan and settled in the town of Redford near Detroit. Four children were raised there, Helen K. Catlin, Margaret Irland, Clyde T. Lewis Jr.(Tom), and Jack Lewis. Mary Anne (Mayme)died of breast cancer at age 69.
