Walter is buried with his wife Cornelia in the Southfield Cemetery, located at 
24366 W. 10 1/2 Mile Road, Southfield, Michigan. This road is also know as 
Civic Center Drive, and the cemetery is on a short road on the north side of 
Civic Center Road, between Berg Road and 1st Center Drive. 

Their graves are near to the graves of Walter's parents and a number of his 
siblings. His headstone reads:

Sept. 11, 1861- Jan. 25, 1932
