The newspaper is unknown. AMIDON, LUANN GAIL, age 44, passed away February 8, 1999. She was born on December 26, 1954 to Norbert and Irene (Cherry) Bagazin in Detroit, MI. She married Ronald D. Amidon on September 26, 1975. Formerly from Redford Township, she moved to the South Lyon community 15 years ago. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Luann was the beloved wife of Ronald Amidon of Salem Township, loving mother of Christa and Jennifer Amidon of Salem Township. She is survived by her parents Norbert and Irene Bagazin, and brother Lawrence (fiancee Terry Stork) Bagazin of Houghton, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-9 pm at the Phillips Funeral Home , 122 West Lake St., South Lyon, MI. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 810 S. Lafayette, South Lyon, MI. Final visitation will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am at the church. Memorials in Luann s memory may be made to Horses Haven, P.O. Box 519, South Lyon, MI, 48178. This is from the Gaylord Herald Times Friday, April 4, 2008 2:26 PM EDT Irene Cherry Bagazin, age 88, passed away March 2, 2008. She was born on Feb. 1, 1920 in Elmira to the late Raymond and Lillian (Oshnosh) Cherry. On May 1, 1942, Irene married Norbert L. Bagazin in Elmira. They had resided in Colonial Acres in South Lyon until November 2002, when they moved to Houghton. Irene was a nurses’ assistant for 40 years and was last employed by Grace Hospital in Detroit. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was very generous to her family, friends and her church. She loved to keep active. Irene is survived by her husband, Norbert; her son, Lawrence (Terry) Bagazin; two grandchildren, Christa and Jennifer Amidon; three sisters, Charlotte Girard, Mercedes Boylan and Florence Wisniewski; one brother, Peter (Patricia) Cherry; son-in-law, Ronald D. Amidon; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Luann Amidon; three brothers, Edward, Stanley and Edmond; and her sister, Diane Cherry.
