Wilson was born at Tilbury, East Canada, Feb. 9, 1855. He is a son of Andrew and Maria Wilson. His early life was spent in Canada. In 1876 he entered the regular department of medicine of the University of Michigan, at Ann Arbor, from which he graduated in the spring of '79. He then came to Shelby and opened an office for the practice of medicine and surgery, where he has since remained following his profession. On March 26, 1884, he was married to Miss Jessie Rankin, a daughter of D.H. and Christine Rankin. She was born Feb. 3, '67, at Marquette, Mich., and came to Shelby, Aug. 4, '79. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson now have one daughter, Gracie, born Oct. 24, '88. Mr. Wilson is a well read and consequently successful physician. He and his wife enjoy the esteem of their numerous acquaintances.
