Obituary
DEATH CLAIMS JACK MCGOWAN AT GRAND RAPIDS HOSPITAL
Was Laid to Rest In Brookside Cemetery Saturday, May 19
	John C. McGowan, well known resident of West Branch, veteran of the 
Spanish-American War and a son of the late John McGowan, pioneer hardware 
merchant of West Branch, passed away on Thursday, May 17 last week, as the 
result of a complication of ailments at the Veterans Facility in Grand 
Rapids.  He had been in the hospital  ?? months and his condition became 
critical four days before his death.  He was 67 years of age.
