Elmer H. Boyd, 85, Died Today
Ontonagon - Elmer H. Boyd, 85, died this morning at Ontonagon Memorial 
Hospital.  He had been hospitalized one week.

The deceased was born Nov. 16, 1874 at Racine, Wis., and came to this area as 
a young man.  He was first employed by the Diamond Match Co. and later was 
associated with the Thompson-Wells Lumber Co., and had also been engaged in 
other logging enterprises.

He was a member of the Ontonagon Masonic Lodge and the Royal Arch Masons, 
Bessemer Chapter.

In 1915 Mr. Boyd was married here to Florence Penegor, who survives him, 
together with one son, Earl of Ontonagon, and a sister, Maude H. Boyd of 
Racine.

The Allan Cane Funeral Home will be open to friends after 10:30 a.m. Thursday 
and funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home Friday at 1:30 p.m.  
Entombment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
