The Ontonagon Herald - Saturday, November 4, 1905
   John Robert, father of Mrs. James O'Brien, of Ontonagon, died at his home in
Rockland last Sunday afternoon.  He was forty-six years old.  He had been ill
for about a month with typhoid fever, but had nearly recovered from the malady,
when he was stricken with heart disease.  He was born in Canada and came to
Rockland twenty-six years ago.  Four years later he was married and is survived
by a widow and eight children, four boys and four girls, all of whom live in
Rockland except Mrs. O'Brien.  The funeral was held from the Catholic church
Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Father Manderfield officiating.
