ROWLEY DEC 23, 1869 JUNE 22, 1899 MOTHER STONE Inscription: SLEEP MOTHER DEAR AND TAKE THY REST GOD CALLED THEE HOME HE THOUGHT BEST Note: Daughter of John and Samantha Button - Wife of John T. Rowley and mother of Morris E. Rowley, Lydia Rowley, Norman C. Rowley and George Rowley. Death certificate shows Betsy Matilda Rowley was the daughter of John Button & ? Windgar (both of New York State), female, white, married, married at age 22, parent of 4 children, 3 living, housewife, born August 21/27, 1840 Michigan and died on August 21, 1904 Osceola Twp., Osceola Co., Mich at the age of 64 years 8 months and 21 days, cause of death nephritis intestinal. Burial was on August 24, 1904 Evangalist Cemetery, Evart, Michigan. John R. Rowley was the son of Norman and Betsey Anne (Greene) Rowley - Husband of Betsey Matilda Rowley and father of Morris E. Rowley, Lydia Rowley, Norman C. Rowley and George Rowley. Unknown at this time when he died. Death certificate shows Morris E. Rowley was the son of John T. Rowley and Betsty ? (both of Michigan), male, white, single, born in Michigan, died on June 22, 1899 Osceola Twp., Osceola Co., Michigan at the age of 29 years 5 months and 28 days, cause of death (not sure of the spelling for the cause of death). Burial was on June 25, 1899 German Cemetery, Osceola Twp., Osceola Co., Michigan. Initial on monument shows middle initial of B. in name but death certificate says her middle name is Matilda.
