WISE MONUMENT

The following headstones are located near the Wise Monument:

MAY 3, 1869 
OCT 31, 1913

Note: 

Death certificate shows Pheba May Wise was the daughter of James Hicks (New 
York State) and Eliza Parker (Michigan), female, white, married, farmer, born 
May 3, 1869 Gratiot Co., Mich and died on October 31, 1913 Marion, Osceola 
Co., Mich at the age of 44 years 5 months and 29 days, cause of death Diabetes 
Metlilus. Informant Charles Morgan of Evart, Mich. Burial was on November 2, 
1913, name of cemetery not listed.

Death certificate shows Freddie Wise was the son of Henry Wise and Phoebe 
Hicks (both of Michigan), male, white, born and died on December 1, 1909 
Marion, Osceola Co., Michigan, cause of death stillborn. Burial on December 1, 
1909 Marion Twp. (says Marion but should have probably said Osceola Twp. 
Cemetery)
