Established in 1879 as a farming community, the population grew to 200 people. In 1882 when the county seat was transferred to Mio and the soils became infertile, the town was soon abandoned. About 3 miles West of M-33 on Valley Road is the intersection with Union Corners Road. Just to the South, on the West side of Union Corners Road, you will find a single grave. Follow the trail a bit into the woods and you will find evidence of 3 more graves.
