Coopersville observer, April 5, 1935
  Rev. Edward J. Berquist, 51, died last Wednesday in the University Hospital 
in Ann Arbor.  Funeral services were held at the Van Allsburg Funeral Chapel 
on Friday afternoon.
  Mr. Berquist was well known in this community.  His wife died about 3 years 
ago.  For about 15 years he had been in mission work in PA before coming to 
MI, serving as Pastor of the Congregational Church in Pinckney.
  He is survived by 4 children, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
  Interment was in the Coopersville Cemetery.
