Coopersville observer, Oct. 21, 1921
  Jacob S. BOLHUIS was born in Polkton Twp., June 2, 1872.  He married Grace 
SATINGA on June 6, 1901 and they had three children, Bertha, Beatrice and 
Stuart.  His beloved wife passed away February, 26, 1917.  Since then, he has 
lived with an aged mother.  He passed away very suddenly as a result of an 
accident, Saturday morning, October 15th, aged 49y 4m and 13d.  Surviving him, 
besides the three children and mother, 2 sisters: Mrs. J. EMMONS of Muskegon 
and Mrs. George ELGERAMA of Coopersville; two brothers, Arlo of Sparta and 
John on the old homestead.  The funeral was held in the home, south of 
Coopersville on Monday with burial in the Coopersville Cemetery.
