Holland Sentinel
Gerrit (Jerry) Bronkhorst, 57, of Holland, died Saturday in Holland Community 
Hospital following a short illness.
Mr. Bronkhorst was born July 17, 1936 in Holland, Ottawa, Michigan, 
He salvaged scrap metal and cars until his illness forced him to retire in 
1989. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife Betty Jean Bronkhorst; seven children and their 
spouses, Karen and Lester Willis of Douglas, Debra and Neal Staat of Holland, 
Donna Bronkhorst of Elkhart, IN, and Pamela, Jerry and Jennifer Bronkhorst, 
all of Holland; 11 grandchildren; mother Clara Bronkhorst of Holland; Mother-
in-law Beatrice Van Dine of Grandville; seven brothers and sisters, John 
Bronkhorst of Pullman, Roger, Kenneth and Michael Bronkhorst all of Holland, 
Mary Lou Wilson of Jacksonville, FL, Beverly Smith of Holland, Sandra Reimink 
of Hamilton.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Mulder Chapel Dykstra 
Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Grooms officiating.
Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery, Holland, Allegan, Michigan
