Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home with Rev. L. Veltkamp, pastor of Central Avenue Christian Reformed church, officiating. The burial was in Holland cemetery. (Pilgrim Home) He is survived by the widow and the following sons and daughters; Alice, Gerrit, Albert, Frances, George,Helen and Mary of Holland, and Mrs. Maynard (Jennie) Batjes of rural route 6. Other survivors are a son-in-law, Arnold Johnson; four brothers, John Bronkhorst of Martin, William Bronkhorst and Joe Bronkhorst of Holland and Albert Bronkhorst of Jackson Valley Washington and a brother-in- law, John Nyland of St. Paul, Minnesota. Additional Comments: Gerrit was married twice. First to Aale (Alice) Kleine Streutker, Bronkhorst. He married her April 11, 1900 in Holland Michigan, their children are has follows, 4 baby died at birth, Delia, John, Arthur, Christine, Jennie, Alice, Gerrit II, Albert. He married Mary Stepka Bronkhorst, Jan. 29, 1920. Frances, George, Helen and Mary are her children from a previous marriage. George later took the last name of Bronkhorst.
