Coopersville Observer, June 16, 1933
  From the Ravenna Times, we learn that Ocsar F. Conklin, 96, a resident of 
Ottawa Center in his younger days, passed away last week on Monday.  In spite 
of his age, he had been able to look after his affairs until a few months 
ago.  He and his brother, William P. Conklin had engaed in business in Ravenna 
after the Civil War.  In 1899, they sold out and moved to Grand Rapids.  
William, now also in his nineties, still lives there.  Later, Oscar sold his 
property and moved to Jacksonville, Illinois.
