Coopersville Observer, Oct. 17, 1930
  Eugene A. GIBBS was born July 5, 1854 in Batavia, NY and died October 8, 
1930, at the age of 76y 3m 3d.  He was 10, when the family moved to Michigan.  
He married Della M. HARVEY on July 4, 1885.
  They spent the last 21 years in Nunica having lived the early part of their 
marriage on a farm near the Jericho school.
  He is the first of a large family to pass away.  Besides his widow, he 
leaves 4 brothers, 4 sisters.
  Funeral services were held in the Nunica Methodist Church with burial in the 
Spring Lake Cemtery.
