Herrick Districk Library, Obituary Collection (1940-2003)
Mr. John W. Honderd, 94, of Jenison went to be with his Lord and Savior,  
Monday July 24, 2000, Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Jeannette 
(Plakmeyer); His children, Gerald and Cindy Honderd, Janice and Ken Brink; his 
grandchildren, Pat and Mark Menning, Jack and Betsey Honderd, Mick and Cheri 
Honderd, Greg and Libby Honderd, Doug and Deb Brink, Jim and Kim Brink, Judi 
and Todd Kortman; 20 great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law John Plakmeyer, 
sister-in-law, Dena Plakmeyer, He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-
law, Donna Honderd. 
Services will be held Thursday at the Sunset Manor Chapel, Jenison, MI with 
his pastors the Rev. Laryn Zoerhof and Rev. Henry C. VanWyk of the Twelvth 
Avenue Christian Reformed Church officiating. Interment Georgetown Township 
Cemetery.
