  Mrs. Charles T. HOWE died suddenly, November 30, at her home in Alexandria, 
Minn.  She had been in her usual health until Sunday when she complained and a 
doctor was called.  On Monday, she arose and dressed as usual and in a few 
minutes when her daughter went to her room, she found her in a dying condition.
  Her maiden name was Jennie Almira MAXFIELD and she was born in Lamont, July 
10, 1850.  She married Charles T. HOWE, January 28, 1869.  They lived in 
Lamont until 1879, when they moved to Pipestone, Minn, which was their home 
until October 1, 1914, when they moved to Alexandria.  She leaves her husband; 
daughters, Mrs. Maude WOOD of St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. William GROSS of Clear 
lake, Wis., and Charlotte L. HOWE at home,; son, Nelson HOWE at home; brothers 
L. P. MAXFIELD of Birmingham, Ala. and C. W. Maxfield of Chicago; sister, Mrs. 
H. M. BLAKENEY of Lamont.  Funeral services were held Wednesday at the home 
December 2.
