Herrick District Library, Obituaries (1940-2003) Holland, Michigan
Gerrit Kruithof, 51, of Holland died Sunday at Holland Hospital where he had 
been confined since Jan. 2, with arthitis. He was born Sept. 18, 1889 in 
Oakland, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gommert Kruithof. He was a member of Bethel 
Reformed Church.
Surviving are the wife, Hattie; three daughters, Mrs. Gordon Ryzenga, of 
Holland, Mrs. Bernard Berghorst of Zeeland, and Amy, at home; a son Jerry, of 
Holland; 8 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Albert Winkler of Dorr, Mrs. 
Lucas Vredeveld of Zeeland, Mrs. Edward Veldhof of Holland, and Sylvia 
Kruithof of Holland and three brothers, John, Marvin and Gerald, all of 
Oakland.

Additional Comments:
Hattie's maiden name was Dozeman. Her parents were Arthur Dozeman and Alice 
Vander Veer. She married Gerrit Dec. 24, 1924 in Oakland, MI. She died Dec. 
24, 1992. They are both buried in Bentheim Cemetery, Bentheim, Allegan, 
Michigan.
