He was a member of Rusk Christian Reformed Church and was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline, in 1949. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathryn; children, John and Betty Lutke of West Olive, Ray and Linda Lutke of Allendale, William and Mary Lutke of West Olive, Jack and Karen Lutke of West Olive, and Bonnie and Pat Siler of Holland; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Doris) Hyma of Grand Rapids, Thelma and Arnold Miedema of Hudsonville, and Dale and Shirley Lutke of Hudsonville; in-laws, Mrs. Egbert (Anne) Velthouse of Allendale, Mrs Louis (Josephine) DeJonge of Jenison, and Betty and Glenn Geurink of West Olive; nephews, nieces and cousins. Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Rusk Christian Reformed Church, 9194 Pierce St., with the Rev. David Vander Meer officiating. Burial will be in Rusk Cemetery. Visiting is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St. Memorials may be made to Borculo Christian School or Unity Christian Schools.
