He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Geri, in Nov. 2002. He is survived by his children and grand children Bob and Brenda Mast of Wyoming (Sara, Brian, Rachel and Nick Negen, Nadine), Dave and Kay Mast of Holland (Jeremy, Ryan, Jason and Mary and Andy Swift), Dale and Laurie Mast of Zeeland (Eric, Andrew, Heather), Ron Mast and fiance Julie Kleinheksel of Holland, and Diane and Mike Westrick of Allendale (Logan, Tori), his sisters and brothers Evelyn Peterman of Muskegon, Mae Mast, Harold and Joyce Mast, Erwin and Alnora Mast, and Junior and Myra Mast, all of Zeeland, his in-laws Neal and Marge Van Leeuwen of Cadillac and Gerrit and Eleanor Van Leeuwen of Jenison. He also leaves his dear friend and fiance Bernice DeKlein of Hudsonville. "What does the Lord require of us, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God." Micah 6:8 Dad believed and practiced this all his life, serving a wonderful model of faith, integrity, and servanthood for his family as a loving husband, father and grandpa. He was a grateful active member of Drenthe Christian Reformed Church all his life. He was owner of Mast Heating Company for 31 years. Dad and Mom were members of the Gideons for many years, faithfully and eagerly assistig their fellow Gideons in the work of Bible distribution. While he will be deeply missed by his family and many friends, we rejoice that his suffering is over, his earthly journey complete, and that his is now in the presence of his loving God. Services will be Friday July 2, 2004 at the Drenthe Christian Reformed Church, with Rev. Ronald Meyer officiating. Burial will be in West Drenthe Cemetery.
