Alice Overway, 85
Alice Overway, 85, of Holland, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Resthaven Care 
Center.
A lifelong resident of Holland, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 
30 years and volunteered at Holland Community Hospital for 20 years. She was 
employed by Charley's Market for several years.
 She is survived by her son, Alan and Gail Overway of Holland; stepchildren, 
Roger and Joan Overway of DeWitt, Robert and Beatrice Overway of Holland, 
Larry and Tida Overway of Austin, Texas, Mrs. Steven (Myrna) VanZanten of 
Holland; two granddaughters; 10 step-grandchildren; several great-
grandchildren; brother and sister, Benjamin and Alice Jansen, Mrs. Charles 
(Hermina) Overbeek, all of Holland; sister-in-law, Mrs. John (Ida) Jansen of 
Holland; several nephews and nieces.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, 517 W. 32nd St., with 
the Rev. Kim Meyering officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. today at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St.
Memorials may be made to the Holland Rescue Mission or Resthaven/Good Shepherd 
Home.
