Coopersville Observer, March 29, 1935
  John Seelman, 78, died Tuesday night at his home, 448 Livingston Ave. in N. 
E. Grand Rapids after a long illness.  He was a native of Germany and a former 
resident of Chester Twp.
  He is survived by 3 sons, Edgar of Grand Rapids and Leonard and Corneal of 
Kenosha, Wis.; 2 daughters, Eva of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Fred SCHNACK of 
Quincy, IL; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held Friday at the Hope Lutheran Church.  Following 
the services, the body will be taken to Trinity Lutheran Church in Conklin, 
where he was a former member.  Burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in 
Conklin.
