Slusher, 75, of Holland, died Monday Oct. 14, 2002, at her home following an extended illness. Born in Graafschap, she taught for more than 34 years in West Ottawa and Holland schools, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where she play the organ, also play the organ for Graafschap Christian Reformed Church. Her husband, Jack preceded his in death in 1976. Surviving are her children, Yvonne Cordell of Holland, Mary and Beth Slusher of Lansing, Paul and Susan slusher of Greenville, S.C. Rochelle Looman, and Meribeth Slusher of Holland; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Orma Vander Kooi, Marybelle and Howard Schipper, Elaine Cioffi, Shirley Breuker, all of Holland, and Joseph and Lucille Den Bleyker of Texas; in-laws, Clarence Slusher of Corbin, KY, Anita Slusher, Nancy Slusher of KY, and Myrtle and Otis Pruitt of FL. Services are Friday at Immanuel Baptist Church, with the Revs. Howard Schipper and Steve Beirn officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery.
