Holland Sentinel
John Allen Van Houten, 56, of Holland died Sunday, July 23, 2000, in Holland 
Community Hospital. Was born June 18, 1944 to Ralph and Mary (Vennstra) Van 
Houten.
He attended West Ottawa schools, was a baptized member of Calvary Reformed 
Church, and was employed by the Holland Sentinel as wholesale manager of 
newspaper sales.
Surviving are his fiancee Tawny Good of Holland; son Getry Good at home; 
sisters Jeanette Vander Hulst of Holland, Shirley and Max Chrispell of 
Hesperia, and Joann and Troy Conway of Arkansas; brother Robert Van Houten of 
Jackson.
Servoces are 1p.m. Friday at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, with 
the Rev. Kasey  vander Veen officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial 
Gardens. 
Memorials may be made to the American diabetes Association.
