Coopersville Observer, May 15, 1898
 Mrs. Louisa Walling, 70, wife of Dr. Ezra WALLING, died at their residence on 
Eastmanville St., Wednesday morning, May 4, 1898.  She had performed as usual 
her household duties on the day before and her unexpected death, casts a gloom 
over the whole neighborhood.  She was loved by all and had lived in 
Coopersville for nearly 20 years.  She would have celebrated their golden 
anniversary if she had lived a few more weeks.  She leaves a husband and 4 
children: Mrs. Esther TRUSS of Harvard; Dr. J. S. WALLING of Coopersville; 
Mrs. Mary WOODS of Berlin; and Amos WALLING of Menominee; and 2 great 
grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon with burial in 
Berlin.
