Duke Emerson Reed was born June 30 1902 in Chicago Illinois the son of Albert 
Samuel Reed and May Alice VanderKolk and died Oct 23 1984 in Holland MI. He 
was married twice 1st to Ethel Forsythe Nov 2 1926. Duke then divorced and 
married Ermal Thomas on Dec 23 1939 a couple years later. Duke was the one who 
did the scamatic for the cordless microphone for Western Electric.
