ALBERT  ZUIDEMA  was born May 1846 in The Netherlands, and died 31 May 1904 in 
Ferrysburg, Ottawa, Michigan.  He married ANNA about 1866.  She was born March 
1847 in The Netherlands, and died after 31 May 1904.

Albert Zuidema, an old resident of Spring Lake Township, was found dead in his 
barn two miles north of Ferrysburg Tuesday.  He had been in his usual good 
health and had just partaken of a hearty dinner and had gone to the barn to 
rest up and smoke awhile.  Half an hour later his wife went to the barn and 
found her husband cold in death.  Death was due to heart disease.  Mr. Zuidema 
was 61 years old and is survived by a wife and a number of grown children.  
Yesterday, the little one-year-old daughter of John Zuidema of Spring Lake, a 
granddaughter of Albert Zuidema, passed away.  This afternoon the funeral of 
grandfather and grandchild took place from the Reformed Church of Spring 
Lake.  Both bodies occupied the same casket, the grandfather in death clasping 
the body of the little innocent whose life had left its human habitation, so 
soon after, making a touching feature.  

Additional Comments:
A more recent burial of the spouse of a living Zuidema is next to the 
major "Zuidema" stone.
