The Columbus [OH] Enquirer-Sun, Aug 29, 1888 1888
Cheboygan, Mich., August 28.-It is reported here that cholera is raging in 
Presque Isle county, and the people are dying like sheep, with no doctors in 
the immediate vicinity. Nine persons died in one day. While the report may be 
exaggerated, it is known that a short time ago the people were suffering with 
bowel trouble. The officials of that county will investigate matters.
