"Dietz" on the banners portion at the top, "Frederich"("Father" above his name), "Wilamina"("Mother" above her name), "William"("Son" above his name), and "Baby Boy"("Grandson" above ). Frederich Dietz(Father) 1837-1891 Wilamina Dietz(Mother)1839-1919 William Dietz(Son) 1870 - 1892 Baby Boy Dietz(Grandson) 1912 Additional Comments: The original spellings of the first names of the first three people were "Friederich", "Wilhelmine", and "Wilhelm". All three were born in Prussia and came to the United States in the 1870s (Wilhelm's sister Bertha Dietz Reinke was with the family - she is buried in Rogers City at Rogers City Memorial Cemetery. The youngest son, Albert John Dietz was born in Belknap Township and is also buried there with his wife, Alfena Vogler. The spelling of the names apparently changed in 1998 when the three children of Albert, (who were still alive) had this stone made and placed, and had a concrete curb surrounding the lot put there by Albert after his mother's death removed because it was deteriorating. The Baby Boy is the stillborn son of Albert and Alfena. He was prematurely born dead as the result of an accident of some kind on the Dietz farm File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/presqueisle/photos/tombstones/belknaptownship/dietz144260nph.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 2.1 Kb
