In large red granite letters, centered at the top of the stone on a gray rectangular field is the surname "Schalk". Below that is a longer gray rectangular field inscribed on the left with "Rudolph F., Feb 12, 1907, June 23, 1983" followed by a picture of a heart on a bed of roses with "married Feb 14 1942" inscribed in the center of the heart. To the right of the heart is inscribed "Adeline W., Nov.14, 1915, June 12, 2003".At the bottom of the stone is a narrow gray field inscribed "Memories Guide The Hand Of Love" Rudolph Karl Ferdinand Schalk February 12, 1907 - June 23, 1983 Adeline Wilhelmine Henrietta(Dietz) Schalk November 14, 1915 - June 12, 2003 Additional Comments: Rudolph is the son of Charles Otto and Wilhelmine(Stricker) Schalk who are buried at St. Michael's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Belknap Township, Presque Isle County. MI. Adeline is the daughter of Albert and Alfena(Vogler) Dietz, and the sister of Anna (Dietz)Nagel, wife of Arthur A. Nagel, who are all buried in this cemetery.
