Argus News August 1920
The annual Krantz family reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. 
Krantz Wednesday, August 18, with 35 members present. There were three 
brothers and one sister who were unable to attend, but a very enjoyable affair 
was had. The main feature of the day was the big dinner served at noon at two 
long tables and at 2 o'clock the regular business meeting was held, which was 
followed by a fine program consisting of singing, musical selections, 
recitations and speeches. The following officers were elected: Frank Gobba, 
Holloway, Pres.; Mrs. Bertha Holdridge, Charlotte, sec.-treas.; Misses Carmen 
Gobba and Florence Schleicher, entertainment and program. Those present from 
away were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gobba and daughter and son, Carmen and Clifford, 
of Holloway; Chas. Thursby, of Tecumseh; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rebe, Mr. and 
Mrs. Robt. Rebe, Mr. and Mrs. August Ehlert and sons, Rudolph and Lawrence, of 
Deerfield; Fred Schleicher and daughter, Florence, and Julius Schmidt of Ann 
Arbor; Mr. and Mrs. B. S. Holdridge, of Charlotte; Mrs. Minnie Hawcroft and 
Earl Krantz and family of Owosso; Fred Krantz and wife and two sons, Donald 
and LaForest and daughter, Pauline, of Gaines. The reunion next year will be 
held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rebe at Deerfield.
