Mrs. Catherine Crook answering the final summons Sunday morning at 3:40 o'clock at the family residence, 139 Gallagher street. She had been ill for several years with dropsy and suffered greatly but bore it nobly with Christian patience and fortitude. Deceased was of Scottish parentage born in Glasgow, Scotland, Nov. 20, 1834 and for over thirty years was the beloved wife of Thomas Crook, who survives her. During her life time of three score years and ten Mrs. Crook was ever a faithful and conscientious church member having belonged to the Hess street Methodist Episcopal church during its existence on Hess avenue, and later to the Epworth church, where she was always found to be in attendance at it services and a worker in all its religious departments. She will also be missed in the Ladies Aid Society especially where she always attended and was a member to be relied upon. During her residence of more than 20 years in Saginaw she has made many friends who will miss the kindly face and pleasant smiles with her cordial handshake and welcome greeting. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30o'clock from the late residence 139 Gallagher street and 2 o'clock from the Epworth church. Interment in the Forest Lawn cemetery.
