Hoyt Nursing Home. Age 86 years. 
Funeral Arrangements will be announced later by the Case Chapel, 409

Passed away at the Hoyt Nursing Home 
Saturday afternoon, Nov. 8, 1975, following 
a lengthy illness. Age 86 years. He 
was born May 12, 1889 in Ingham County 
coming to Saginaw when a child. He 
married Miss Lucille Caertner June 25, 
1914. She survives him. He had been 
employed by Saginaw Steering Gear 
Plant No 1 for nearly 30 years retiring in 
1954. He was a member of the First 
United Methodist Church and a member 
of the U.A.W. Local No. 699 Retirees 
Club. Surviving besides his wife are one 
son and two daughters, Mrs. Don (Ruby) 
Hodges and Mrs. Richard (Helen) 
LaFond, both of Saginaw; Willard 
DeForest, Whitehall, Ohio; 20 grand- 
children; 22 great grandchildren; sever- 
al nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will take place 2:00 p.m. 
Wednesday at the Case Chapel, 409 
Adams St. Rev. Carol Johns will officiate 
with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. 
Friends may call at the chapel.
