The cemetery is three miles east of Argyle, MI. and 6/10th of a mile north on Wheaton Road. The cemetery was started by John M. and Susan (Seder) Cole when they found and buried victims of the forest fire of Sept. 5, 1881. The cemetery has also been known as Sutherland Cemetery and Wheaton Cemetery. Tombstones were read on October 12, 2012 by Mary Hollingsworth and Margaret Wegner.
