The land for the cemetery was donated to Austin Twp. by Alexander McRae. The cemetery was originally named McRae (McCrae) Cemetery, then Austin Twp. Cemetery and the current Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. This is an old cemetery with many broken and unreadable stones. There is no transcription available for this cemetery; as a result there are many people buried here that are not listed.
