Moore, this community, with who he had made his home two years, died Monday night in a Detroit Hospital. He had been visiting another daughter, Mrs. William H. Murray in Detroit. About 10 days ago, he suffered a paralytic stroke and was taken to a hospital. The remains are in the B. A. Pitcher funeral home, Sandusky, but funeral arrangements are incomplete. Mr. Banks is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Cora Harker, Detroit and Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Murray; two sons, Robert Banks, Reedsburg, Wis., and David Banks, Portland Ore; a brother, Charles Banks, Ann Arobr; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He was born in Canada Dec. 10, 1854. He came to Michigan with his parents when he was nine years old. They settled in Elmer township, where he lived until he was 48 years old. He married Miss Minnie Smith, a native of Germany, in Snover in November, 1876. They lived in Bennett, Wis., until Mrs. Banks death in January, 1923. Mr. Banks then returned to Michigan, making his home in Detroit until two years ago when he came to Snover to live with mr. and Mrs. Moore. During his residence in Elmer township, he was township clerk 25 years and during the period in Wisconsin, he was a county supervisor 12 years. he was a member of the Free Methodist Church.
