West i75runner@yahoo.com November 1, 2008, 2:23 pm 12 February 2008, The Huron Daily Tribune Obituaries for February 12, 2008 The Huron Daily Tribune 02/12/2008 Mrs. Minnie Bismack, 101, of Bad Axe and formerly of Minden City, died Monday morning, Feb. 11, 2008 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born March 20, 1906 in Parisville, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Pelot) O’Parka. She married Robert Bismack on May 4, 1926 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1962. Minnie was a graduate of a Country School. She farmed with her husband and worked as a wire assembler for Clement Manufacturing in Minden City for 10 years. She was a lifelong parishioner at St. Mary Catholic Church in Parisville where she was a member of the Rosary Sodality and worked on the Parish Picnic. Mrs. Bismack enjoyed gardening, canning, playing cards, bingo and crocheting afghans. She is survived by two sons, Thaddeus “Ted” Bismack and his wife, Dorothy, of Anderson, S.C., Robert Bismack and his wife, Diana, of Saginaw; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Beatrice Lemanski and her husband, Victor, of Bad Axe; one sister-in-law, Genevieve O’Parka of Bad Axe. She was preceded in death by two sons, LaVerne and infant son, Jamie Bismack; one brother, Chester O’Parka; five sisters, Grace Peruski, Martha Goniwicha, Phoebe Lemanski, Gertrude Zulka, Theresa Lemke. Funeral Mass for Minnie Bismack will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Parisville. The Rev. Jerzy Dobosz, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Smigielski Funeral Home in Minden City and from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. There will be a rosary by the St. Mary’s Rosary Sodality at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday by Mr. Marc Tenbusch, both at the funeral home.
